What You'll Do

The Teller professionally and accurately performs financial transactions for members, cross-sells credit union products, and ensures efficient branch operations. The role involves engaging with members to provide exceptional service.

Essential Duties

• Provide exceptional member service, greeting members and building relationships.
• Process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers accurately and promptly.
• Address member questions, resolve issues, and handle service requests.
• Contribute to branch sales goals through cross-selling.
• Assess member needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
• Balance daily transactions accurately.
• Follow policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Perform face-to-face member service daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Accurate cash handling and strong cash balancing skills.
• Ability to serve a diverse member base with excellent service.
• Proven sales and referral abilities.
• Confidentiality and software proficiency.
• Multilingual skills, including Spanish, are a plus.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of customer service and sales experience.
• Current Canvas employees must meet performance and behavior expectations.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay ranges from $18.90 to $21.87/hour, based on experience and skills. Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company contribution, tuition reimbursement, loan discounts, and potential bonuses.

Additional Info

This role requires Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) registration and background checks. The position is based in a branch environment with a flexible schedule, including Saturdays. Duties involve manual dexterity and physical activity such as bending and standing.
