Job description

Join CASL as a Technical Instructor and Tutor and Make a Difference

Your Mission:

The Technical Instructor and Tutor will support CASL’s new grant-funded initiative to deliver bilingual, culturally competent digital skills workshops to Chinese American and Chinese immigrant seniors. These workshops and monthly Tech Cafés are designed to help older adults use smartphones and tablets more confidently, navigate online tools, and better protect themselves against scams and fraud. By breaking down technological barriers, this role directly supports seniors in maintaining their independence, accessing essential services, and staying socially connected in today’s digital world.

Aligned with CASL’s mission to empower the community and promote self-sufficiency, this role plays a vital part in reducing the digital divide for older adults. The Instructor will review curriculum, lead workshops and tech cafés, and create an engaging, supportive learning environment where participants feel empowered, included, and respected.

About CASL:

The Chinese American Service League is a dynamic and forward-thinking organization dedicated to empowering and serving the Chinese American population and the broader communities. For over 45 years, CASL's comprehensive programs have connected families and individuals with the vital support they need: providing an educational and cultural foundation for our children, ensuring our seniors live full and independent lives with dignity, enhancing education and training for tomorrow's workforce, putting immigrants on the pathway to citizenship, securing our community's housing and financial well-being, navigating healthcare systems and wellness resources, and providing equal access to justice. Since our founding, CASL has been rooted in the principles of equity and justice. That legacy continues to shape our efforts today as we strive to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at all levels of the organization.
