Rutgers University’s Rutgers School of Nursing is seeking part-time instructors to teach undergraduate simulation and clinical skills in the Spring 2027 term in Newark/New Brunswick, NJ. Positions involve instructional duties in clinical, simulation, or laboratory settings and require alignment with course syllabi and student learning outcomes.

Qualified applicants hold a Master’s in Nursing (Doctoral preferred) and teaching experience with baccalaureate nursing students.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Doctoral Degree in Nursing or related discipline, preferred.
• Teaching experience with baccalaureate nursing students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation before beginning of semester.
• Provide instruction and supervision in the clinical, simulation, and/or lab settings.
• Follow course syllabi to help students achieve set learning outcomes.
• Communicate with the Clinical or Lab Coordinator on an ongoing basis regarding student progress or any concerns.
• Attend course faculty meetings before the semester start and when requested.
• Evaluate, grade, and provide feedback on required course assignments and tasks (i.e., Care plans, specialty papers, research projects, med math, etc.)
• Complete evaluation for each student by the due date.
