Job summary

LearnWell in Yorba Linda, CA is seeking a passionate and creative teacher for a part-time role in a residential eating disorder facility, providing academic support to adolescent students in a small classroom as they receive treatment. You will plan and deliver daily lesson plans, offer individualized assistance, monitor progress, and communicate student updates as needed.

Classes typically range 8 to 15 students; schedule is year-round, 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8am–12pm.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active California teaching license required.
• Comfortable working with 7th–12th grade students.
• Ability to assist with upper level Math and Science.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Yorba Linda, CA on a part-time basis. This unique position will involve working in residential eating disorder facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan and deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a year round, 20-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday, 8am-12pm.
