Job summary

GradePower Learning Frisco is seeking part-time tutors to help elementary and middle school students succeed in all subjects at our Frisco learning center. Tutors teach in-person after school, with Monday–Thursday 3:30pm–7:00pm and Saturday 11am–1pm availability based on experience.

No prior lesson planning is required; you will receive full training in our approach. We value reliable, patient educators who encourage progress, celebrate small wins, and build students’ confidence through engaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• University students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to 8th grade curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time in-person at different levels.
• Follow GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies.

Eager to help elementary and middle school students succeed in all subjects?

We are currently seeking part-time tutors for a role in our learning center at GradePower Learning Frisco.

This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, math, among other subjects, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutors at GradePower Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements:

All Tutors at GradePower Learning work during after-school hours; additionally, Saturday morning and early afternoon availability is preferred. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. A background check is mandatory.

We encourage you to apply if you have the majority of the following requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• University students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to 8th grade curriculum

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to 8th grade level (or equivalent)
• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type:

Part-time

Salary: $16 - $22 / hour based on previous experience and education

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday 3:30pm - 7:00pm
• Saturday availability is a plus! 11am - 1pm
