Job summary

GradePower Learning Frisco is seeking a part-time tutor to help elementary and middle school students succeed in multiple subjects. You will work in-person after school hours, with Saturdays optional, and no lesson planning required as lessons are pre-planned.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, tutoring experience, and strong English communication. Relocation is not offered; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• University students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to 8th grade curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to 3 students at a time in-person.
• Follow GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Complete daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.

Part-Time Teacher/Tutor

Eager to help elementary and middle school students succeed in all subjects?

We are currently seeking part-time tutors for a role in our learning center atGradePower Learning Frisco. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language, math, among other subjects, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutorsat GradePower Learningdo nothave to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements:

All Tutors at GradePower Learning work during after-school hours; additionally, Saturday morning and early afternoon availability is preferred. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role isin-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This isnotan online position. Relocation packages are not available. A background check is mandatory.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• University students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to 8th grade curriculum

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to 8th grade level(or equivalent)
• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details):

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Completing daily student communication updates
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16 - $22 / hour based on previous experience and education

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday 3:30pm - 7:00pm
• Saturday availability is a plus! 11am - 1pm
