Job summary

The Masterpiece Academy seeks STEM Assistant Teachers who are high school students (17+) to support STEM classes in Loudoun or Fairfax County. This part-time, in-person role offers hands-on teaching experience and leadership development for young learners.

You will undergo training, assist facilitators with lessons, mentor students, help set up materials, and participate in outreach events. A minimum 3.5 GPA and ability to pass background checks are required. Pay during training is $12–$15/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old and a high school student in Loudoun or Fairfax County.
• Minimum GPA: 3.5 (must be in good academic standing).
• Strong interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
• Experience in robotics, coding, engineering, or STEM competitions.
• Volunteer experience with younger children is a plus.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to pass county or state background checks and required training for working with children.
