Job summary

LearnWell in Houston, TX seeks a passionate teacher to join our behavioral health facility on a part-time basis for the school year. You will deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized instruction to 5-18 year old patients, and monitor progress while communicating with the treatment team.

Class sizes range 8-15, with a 15-hour weekly commitment from Monday to Friday 11:30am–2:30pm. Requirements include a B.A./B.S.

Qualifications

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Texas teaching license.
• Comfortable working with students grades 8-12.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
• Reliable Transportation

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily lesson plans.
• Provide individualized assistance to students.
• Regularly communicate about student progress with the treatment team.
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
• Class sizes range from 8 to 15 students at any time.
• Commitment of 15 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 11:30am‑2:30pm).

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Houston, TX on a part-time basis for the school year. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility providing academic support for 5-18 year old patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver daily lesson plans, provide individualized assistance to students, and regularly communicate about student progress as needed. Additionally, you will monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position entails a 15-hour a week commitment, Monday-Friday 11:30am-2:30pm.
