Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a Tax Accountant in Los Angeles for a part-time, temp-to-hire role. The junior to mid-level position (3–7 years exp.) involves preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships, using Lacerte and QuickBooks, with direct client interaction and compliance duties.

Responsibilities include tax preparation, review, and related accounting tasks, maintaining client records, and clear communication with clients

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in public accounting.
• Lacerte software a must.
• Tax knowledge/preparation of business entities and individuals.
• Strong understanding of tax preparation and business entity taxation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Job description

Part time: Can work Saturday and Sunday or 2 days during the week.

Temp, or Temp to Hire

Pay: $35-40 CPA

Tax Accountant (junior to mid-level 3-7 years of exp.)

Tax Accountant – Public Accounting

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Handle tax preparation, review, and related accounting responsibilities.
• Work directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide professional support.
• Apply knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles to accurately prepare and review returns.
• Maintain accurate and organized client records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members regarding tax matters.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience working in public accounting.
• Strong experience with individual, corporate, and partnership tax preparation and review.
• Lacerte tax software experience is required.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of tax preparation and business entity taxation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and confident client-interaction skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
