Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking an energetic Assistant Swim Team Coach to support the swim program at our client site in West Hartford, CT. This part-time role offers approximately 10 hours per week and provides an opportunity to impact swimmers' growth while working in a supportive team environment.

You will assist the head coach with age-appropriate workouts, attend weekday practices, manage meet logistics, record workouts and attendance, and help engage parents to foster a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Must possess USA swimming coaching credentials (or obtain upon hire).
• Strong foundation in swim technique and stroke development.
• Ability to communicate effectively with swimmers and parents.
• Willingness to work on weekends for swim meets.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in creating age-appropriate workouts focusing on technique and endurance.
• Lead structured practices on weekday evenings throughout the year.
• Record workouts and track daily attendance.
• Coordinate swim meets, registrations, and timing data.
• Engage parents and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Support stroke clinics and coach training opportunities.
