Irving ISD is seeking a part-time Swimming Instructor for the 26-27 school year at Northlake Aquatics Center in Irving, TX. The role teaches Swim Safe, upholds safety standards, and schedules morning and afternoon sessions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of swim lesson instruction.
• Ability to demonstrate skills using teaching aids (kickboards, rings, lifejackets).
• Ability to work independently with energy and enthusiasm.
• Ability to positively interact with all swimmers, including those fearful in water.
• Aquatic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct all Swim Safe participants.
• Maintain safety in own class.
• Manage schedule and stay after class to answer questions and clean up.
• Instruct and evaluate students in Swim Safe program.
• Submit progress reports, skill sheets and attendance on time.
• Attend mandatory orientations and trainings.
• Act to secure patron safety in emergencies.
• Present a professional appearance and maintain high instruction standards.
• All other duties as assigned.
