Job summary

Missouri Valley Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to teach both group and private swimming lessons in a safe, supportive environment. You will deliver quality instruction, follow our curriculum, and work with Lifeguards to keep the pool area clean and safe.

Prior CPR/First Aid training is required within 90 days of hire, and WSI/Lifeguard certification is not required, with YMCA training provided.

Qualifications

• CPR & First Aid certification must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Child Abuse prevention training must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• WSI or Lifeguard certification not required, training provided by YMCA

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe swimming lessons.
• Implement the YMCA Swim Lessons curriculum.
• Collaborate with Lifeguards to set up pool area and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Keep student records under guidance of Aquatics Director.
• Follow a well-structured lesson plan for each session
