Job summary

Northside Family YMCA in Richmond, VA is seeking part-time swim instructors to lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool. Open availability preferred, with pay ranging from $15 to $17 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

In this role you will teach small groups, promote water safety, and reinforce YMCA core values. Certifications are required or will be provided, with opportunities to advance your skills within a mission-driven community.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications required.
• Preferred but not required: YMCA Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, or WSI/Swim Lesson Instructor.
• If not currently certified, we will certify you.

Responsibilities

• Lead swim lessons for program participants at our pool.
• Promote water safety and YMCA core values.
• Teach a variety of ages with flexible shifts.
