Job summary

Greenville County Aquatic Complex is seeking part-time Swim Instructors to teach swimming lessons to a diverse range of individuals, from children to adults. The program follows Starfish Aquatic Institute and USA Swimming curricula, ensuring a safe, fun, and educational environment for the community to learn and enjoy swimming.

Responsibilities include teaching, adhering to curriculum, communicating progress with parents and staff, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old with basic to advanced water skills.
• Prior swim instructor experience (6 months) preferred.
• Must become CPR/AED and First Aid certified after hire (training provided).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimming lessons to various age groups and skill levels.
• Adhere to curriculum and progression guidelines set by the Starfish Aquatic Institute and USA Swimming.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and patrons, providing updates on progress and addressing concerns.
• Complete required class documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
