Job summary

Goldfish Swim School – South Austin is hiring year-round, part-time swim instructors with leadership growth opportunities available within your first 3–6 months. You will teach water safety and stroke basics to children, and communicate progress to parents to celebrate achievements.

Paid training and a set weekly schedule are provided. The role offers opportunities for advancement and is ideal for students or individuals seeking extra hours without late-night shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Lifeguard, CPR & AED certification training will be provided as part of training and scheduled shifts as a lifeguard

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork
• Interact with parents/guardians on student development
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking to identify and resolve challenges
• Maintain and store pool equipment; set up lane lines and class materials
• Perform light cleaning duties as needed
• Attend occasional workshops and in-service training outside regular hours
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by employer
