Job summary

Wave Aquatics in Redmond is seeking a Swim Instructor to join Wave Swim School at Redmond Pool. You will provide high quality instruction to children of various skill levels and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal candidates are passionate about working with kids, have strong swimming skills, and can deliver engaging lessons. The role includes fall 2026 start with evenings and weekend shifts, and involves collaboration with the Deck Manager and parents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High School Diploma (in progress ok).
• Ability to respond and operationalize emergency action plans in case of emergency.

Responsibilities

• Educate and instruct swimmers of all ages and abilities in water safety, stroke techniques, and swimming fundamentals.
• Develop lesson plans tailored to the skill levels of the student.
• Provide high quality, constructive feedback on swimmers' stroke techniques and progress.
• Communicate with the Deck Manager/Head Guard and parents on student progress and use tracking software.
• Set up and tear down lesson supplies to maintain a clean pool area.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies per emergency action plans.
