Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Toledo is hiring a part-time Swim Instructor to teach life-saving swimming skills to infants through adults at our onsite facility. The role offers a flexible, fun schedule and the chance to make waves in the community.

You will guide learners on four strokes, promote water safety, and create engaging, safe lessons. Required certifications include CPR-Adult/Child/Infant, First Aid, and AED; additional teaching certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be able to teach four strokes to swimmers of all ages.
• CPR-PR for Adult/Child/Infant, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Certifications in teaching swim lessons or related programs are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach life-saving swimming skills to infants through adults.
• Guide swimmers in four strokes and build confidence in water.
• Promote water safety and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment at all times.
