Job summary

Chattahoochee Technical College seeks a Surgical Technology Adjunct/Lab Instructor for the North Metro Campus in Acworth. This part-time role involves instructing, supervising and evaluating students in classroom and lab settings, typically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Adjunct positions are term-based with no guaranteed extension. Salary is $38 per hour; state benefits are not provided. Employees are paid by direct deposit unless exempted by the State.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• At least three years of work experience as a Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in accordance with program policies in classroom/lab settings.
• Evaluate student performance of psychomotor skills using program criteria.
• Explain critical knowledge points regarding psychomotor skills in the lab setting.
• Operate program laboratory equipment effectively.
• Maintain professional competence and licensure.
• Assignments may include days and/or evenings as determined by the program director.
• Respond to emails and voicemails; complete required professional development and evaluations.
