Job summary

Live Well Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during procedures and maintain sterile technique in the operating room. You will prepare the environment, scrub, gown, glove, and set up instruments, while supporting patient care across ages.

The role requires CST certification, completion of a specialty training program, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. On-call duties with a 30-minute response time may apply.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required unless exempt under state law.
• Completion of a specialty training program is mandatory.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, maintain aseptic techniques, and respond to emergencies effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical procedures across all ages, coordinating treatments and providing basic patient support.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, including scrubbing, gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument setup.
• Participate in surgical timeouts, verify surgical sites, and maintain accurate counts of supplies and specimens.
• Assist with wound assessment, dressing changes, specimen handling, and disposal of sharps and linens.
• Initiate emergency protocols, participate in patient admission/discharge, and handle billing for services and equipment.
