Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of New Albany is seeking a Part Time Scrub Technician to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. The role ensures sterile setup, equipment readiness, and smooth case flow while maintaining patient privacy and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification, with preferred experience in a hospital OR. This position offers part-time hours roughly 16–24 per week, with a no-weekend or holiday expectation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years hospital OR experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• CST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in surgical operations under supervision to support patient care.
• Prepare OR by setting up instruments and ensuring equipment works.
• Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgical staff during procedures.
• Gathers supplies, maintains records of intra-operative medications and specimens.
• Maintains sterile technique and adheres to HIPAA regulations.
• Participates in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
• Assist with patient transfer to PACU and restock OR after cases.
