Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks, NV seeks a Surgical/Scrub Tech for a per diem Surgery Unit role. You will monitor instrument PAR levels, sterilize instruments, and support Pain Center operations while upholding Service Excellence standards.

Responsibilities include patient interaction, providing reassurance, and notifying licensed staff of pain. OR experience is preferred, with opportunities for department involvement and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Surgical Technician Certification required (within 6 months of hire) or verifiable hospital surgical tech experience prior to 1/1/2018.
• Current BLS Certification and English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients and family.
• Provides explanations and verbal reassurance as necessary.
• Notifies licensed personnel when patient reports pain.
• Adapts procedures for all age groups from infant to geriatric.

Job Summary:

This Surgical/Scrub Tech opportunity is per diem on our Surgery Unit and offers a convenient schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Surgical/Scrub Techthat will monitors PAR level of all surgical instruments and Pain management supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments used in the OR and Pain Center. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Interacts professionally with patients and family.
• Provides patient with explanations and verbal reassurance, as necessary.
• Notifies appropriate licensed personnel when patient complains of pain.
• Adapts procedures to meet individual needs of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for treatment.
