Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year of applicable experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates OR surgery schedules with physicians and patients to align with department guidelines and physician requests.
• Assigns operating suites and equipment and blocks times to maximize resource use.
• Ensures demographic, billing and insurance information is entered into EMR and coordinates with Patient Admitting to prevent delays.
• May reschedule surgeries to accommodate emergencies or unplanned events.
