Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• Board certification or eligibility in a surgery specialty.

• Knowledge of teaching best practices and active learning methods.
• Official transcripts required for appointment and Texas licensure for physicians.

Responsibilities

• Designs and enhances the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship experience with LIC team.
• Develops clerkship curriculum, syllabus, objectives, activities, and assessments.
• Leads didactic sessions and on-site teaching during half days.
• Recruitment, development, and retention of clinical preceptors and sites.
• Matches students to clerkship sites and supports learning environment.
