Job summary

Almost Family is seeking a motivated Supported Employment Job Developer in Hesperia/Victorville to provide client-centered career development and job placement for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will identify interests, develop job-ready skills, and secure competitive local employment.

You will cultivate employer relationships, match clients to opportunities, and support both sides through hiring and onboarding while expanding the program to serve more clients over

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bilingual (Spanish, English).
• Ability to pass background clearance.
• Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance (if driving is required).
• Proficiency using smartphones or tablets for real-time documentation and scheduling.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Career discovery & assessment: identify client strengths, interests, and goals.
• Job development & placement: search openings, submit applications, coordinate interviews.
• Employer outreach & community engagement: promote inclusive hiring with local partners.
• Resume & interview preparation: help clients present professionally.
• Worksite analysis: break down tasks for onboarding and training.
• Onboarding & initial training support: provide coaching during early employment.
• Employer liaison: be primary contact for employers with clear communication.
• Documentation & compliance: maintain progress notes andIPP-aligned updates.
