Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Staten Island, NY is seeking a part-time Supply Chain Associate to manage branch inventory, handle procurement, sourcing, and quoting to meet customer needs.

You may deliver as needed and support accounts receivable, with potential flexible scheduling after onboarding and performance goals. The role works from 1961 Richmond Terrace, 10302, and requires strong math, organization, and customer service orientation, plus a valid driver’s license for occasional company vehicle use.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR customer service experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills
• Core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Able to lift, slide, carry 25lbs-50lbs and up to 75lbs
• Pass drug screen where applicable in US, Puerto Rico and Guam

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
