Job summary

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle requirements
• Working toward or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated and customer-service oriented
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making abilities
• Must align with Fastenal core values: ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional up to 75 lbs
• Pass drug screen where applicable

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions including purchase orders and backorders
• Estimating and quoting prices and sourcing products
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success
