Job summary

Fastenal's Peoria branch is hiring a Part-time Supply Chain Associate to help manage inventory, procurement, and quotations while supporting B2B customer needs at the local level.

You will engage in pricing, sourcing, and coordination activities to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate stock levels, contributing to overall branch performance. A customer-focused, numerate approach is valued, with opportunities to grow within our expanding team.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have related work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Demonstrate organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision making skills.
• Adhere to Fastenal core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Must be able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 75 lbs).
• Pass drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to meet customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with company vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
