Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate in Corpus Christi, TX. The role focuses on managing branch inventory, procurement, quoting, and supporting customer supply chain needs at the Leopard St branch.

Requirements include at least 18 years old, a valid driver’s license, and pursuing or holding a degree in business or related field, with strong communication, computer and math skills. The position offers flexible scheduling after onboarding and performance goals are met.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to operate a company vehicle.
• Pursuing or have a degree in business, supply chain, operations, management, marketing, sales or related field; or equivalent customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Self-motivated, customer service oriented and able to work independently.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making.
• Commitment to our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift/carry 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs may be required.
• Pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to meet customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with company vehicle as needed.
• Perform other duties to ensure branch success.
