Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Part-time Supply Chain Associate in McAllen, TX to manage branch inventory and support B2B procurement, sourcing and quoting for customer needs.

The role is based at 4200 W Military Hwy, McAllen, TX 78503 and offers a flexible schedule after onboarding and goal attainment. Primary duties include handling procurement, PO creation, backorder management, pricing estimates, and coordinating resources for customer supply chain requirements while contributing to AR

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record requirements for company vehicle use.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR have customer service/industry experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making.
• Demonstrate ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork values.
• Able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages 25–50 lbs, up to 75 lbs.
• Pass the drug screen where required.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch inventory levels.
• Administer procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management.
• Estimate/quote prices and source products.
• Coordinate resources to respond to customer supply chain needs.
• Support accounts receivable activities.
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as needed.
