Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Brookfield, CT is seeking a part-time Supply Chain Associate to support branch inventory, procurement, and quoting functions for our B2B customers.

The role sits at our Brookfield location and offers a flexible schedule after onboarding. Candidate will manage inventory, process POs, assist with pricing estimates, coordinate resources, support accounts receivable, and may perform deliveries with a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license (US) for operating company vehicle
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or related field OR relevant work experience
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong organization and prioritization abilities
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, integrity and teamwork
• Lift/carry 25–50 lbs up to 75 lbs; pass drug screen where applicable

Responsibilities

• Managing branch inventory levels
• Administering procurement functions including purchase orders and backorder management
• Estimating and quoting prices and sourcing products
• Coordinating resources to meet customer supply chain needs
• Supporting accounts receivable activities
• Making deliveries with a company vehicle as needed
• Performing other duties to ensure branch success
