Acelero Learning Delaware- Dunbar Center is seeking a Substitute Preschool Teacher to support a Head Start classroom for ages 3–4. This position is part-time and called as needed across locations within the county, aiding in curriculum delivery and student readiness.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe classroom, fostering social-emotional growth with positive guidance, engaging families, and collaborating with the lead teacher and center staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Responsabilités

• Follows the curriculum during coverage and supports 3–4 year olds' readiness.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to develop literacy, numeracy, language, and problem-solving skills.
• Maintains a safe, healthy classroom with proper adult–child ratio and supervision at all times.
• Supports social and emotional development using positive guidance approaches.
• Engages with families to strengthen home–center relationships and supports collaboration with the lead teacher and center staff.
• Attends meetings, events and training as required and adheres to center policies.
