Job summary

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an entry-level, part-time Studio Technician to support daily operations in UF's on-campus video production studios. The role calls for hands-on work with filming, editing, lighting, audio, and live production workflows, collaborating with faculty and university leadership.

The position operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and requires strong technical skills and professional conduct.

Qualifications

Experience in studio and field video production.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Proficiency in editing and post-production workflows.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with studio lighting, audio, and live production workflows.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain professional studio production equipment and recording spaces.
Operate live production systems such as teleprompters, live switchers, video capture devices, cameras, and lighting.
Guide and coach clients during recording sessions with clear direction and feedback.
Capture and organize production and editing notes for post-production workflows.
Maintain organized file structures and media management for editing and archival processes.
Edit video projects on schedule with high quality and consistency.
Ensure quality in lighting, audio capture, graphics, and final delivery.
Use Trello, Notion, or Monday to monitor timelines and deliverables.
Edit using Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
Create motion graphics and AI-assisted elements using After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
