Job summary

The Minnesota Children’s Museum in St. Paul is seeking a part-time Program Facilitator to welcome visitors, lead hands-on activities in The Studio, and run pop-up programs across the museum.

You will help create a fun, inclusive environment for families, support exhibit upkeep, and provide engaging customer service on weekdays and weekends. Flexible holidays when the museum is open apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience with groups of children and adults in educational or recreational settings.
• Comfortable initiating interactions and engaging audiences.
• Willingness to maintain a playful, curious, and open-minded approach.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate art activities in The Studio (art space).
• Engage visitors by greeting them, introducing activities, and inviting participation.
• Reset space between sessions to keep areas fresh for new visitors.
• Prepare and restock exhibit and program supplies to ensure participation.
• Support pop-up programs around the museum and invite children to participate.
• Deliver prompts and scripts with an energetic, welcoming tone.
• Adapt interactions to meet each visitor’s needs and maintain safe, orderly spaces.
