Job summary

Chicago Public Schools (CPS) seeks Part-Time Aides to assist with supervising students during non-instructional activities before, during, and after the school day. Aides can work for the school, but not more than 3.75 hours each day.

Responsibilities include supervising during lunch/recess, study halls, in-school suspensions, and student entry/exit, while ensuring safety and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in supervision of children preferred.
• Ability to work with school children.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to learn and follow school and district policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and/or recess.
• Supervise during study halls (non-instructional minutes).
• Support supervision during in-school suspensions.
• Monitor student entry/exit and movement within the building.
