Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking Part-Time Aides to support the supervision of students before, during, and after the school day. The role is limited to up to 3.75 hours per day and focuses on safe transitions and activities within the school environment.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong communication, reliability, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions in line with district policies. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior supervision experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience supervising children in organized settings is preferred.
• Ability to work with and for school children.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to learn and follow school and district policies and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch and/or recess periods.
• Supervise during study halls (non-instructional minutes).
• Supervise during in-school suspensions.
• Supervise student entry/exit.
• Supervise in and around the school building.
