Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking temporary part-time seasonal staff to support reopening efforts. The roles involve supervising students on-site, assisting staff, and addressing basic technology questions related to CPS applications.

Positions are non-benefit eligible, 6.75 hours per day, at $15 per hour, with a 45-minute unpaid lunch. Ideal candidates are reliable, flexible, and able to follow CPS health and safety protocols during the return-to-school framework.

Qualifications

• Candidate should be reliable and able to support school operations.
• Role involves assisting staff and supervising students as needed.
• Ability to assist with basic CPS applications and tech questions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students who are learning in person if classroom teacher is teaching remotely
• Assist in-person school staff with supervising students as needed
• Assist students with basic technology questions (e.g. logging onto CPS applications)
• Deliver supplies and/or equipment
• Support with recess and/or lunch supervision
• Conduct health screening for students upon entrance
• Monitor and ensure social distancing in classrooms, hallways and bathrooms
• Ensure compliance with mask wearing protocols
• Support students’ adherence to all CPS health & safety protocols
• Other non-instructional tasks
