Job summary

Alta California Regional Center (ACRC) is seeking an Associate Service Coordinator to assist in providing case management and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities. The position is designed for students enrolled in university settings and requires 19 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be Junior or Senior in their bachelor’s program with at least 12 semester units in social work, psychology, education, clinical services or related field.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills are required.
• Strong time management and organization skills are essential.
• Must possess a valid California driver license and automobile liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients and families in acquiring and maintaining assessed services and supports (transportation, vocational training, day programming, education, Early Start therapies, medical care, independent living training).
• Serve as an advocate for clients, collaborating with community agencies.
• Describe ACRC basic services to clients and families.
• Participate in the development of IFSP/IPP and quarterly documentation for clients.
• Assist with completion of forms, documentation, and reports per regulations and ACRC policies.

Education

Junior or Senior in bachelor's program (12 semester units in social work, psychology, education, clinical services, or related field)

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications
