JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Harrisburg's Kulkarni Theatre is seeking applications for part-time student personnel to assist with operations in the theatre. This includes roles such as Event Technicians, Box Office, and Front of House staff.

Event Technicians

Responsibilities include setting up and operating audio, video, and lighting equipment for theatre events, supporting hybrid, virtual, and high-profile events on campus and outdoors, assisting with loading scenic and technical elements, and supporting facility projects.

Job Duties:

• Lighting setup, focusing, programming, and operation
• Audio production, system setup, and mixing
• Video production, broadcasting, and editing
• Backstage management
• Event setup and breakdown
• Basic carpentry
• Event and talent management
• Facility organization

Box Office/Front of House Staff

Responsibilities include providing customer service, ticket sales, managing patron flow, assisting with seating, and supporting event operations.

Job Duties:

• Selling tickets via computerized system
• Data entry and record keeping
• Answering phone calls
• Supporting events and general office duties
• Assisting patrons with seating and information

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to lift loads between 20-50 lbs, with or without accommodation
• Flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, based on event schedule
