This role offers a valuable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic higher education environment, contributing to the success of student engagement and support initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist with event coordination, clerical work, campus communications including digital material, intake, research, selection, preparation, set-up, implementation, coverage, tear-down, and assessment. While developing professional skills in a supportive setting. Bilingual fluency in Spanish is highly preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality in this opening is REQUIRED and necessitates signing of a confidentiality agreement.
Schedule: 10 hours max per week, with availability during regular office hours.
Location: Office of Enrollment Management
Compensation: $12 an hour
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
