Job summary

Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a part-time Structural Design Engineer in West Chester, OH. You will collaborate with our Engineering and CAD teams to prepare submittals, perform structural analysis, and develop drawings for bridge products.

Responsibilities include product integration with the field sales team, coordinating with manufacturing, and maintaining specifications. Candidates should hold a Civil Engineering degree (structural emphasis) with 2+ years of experience and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required, strong preference for Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of civil engineering project experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, finite element analysis, and/or structural analysis software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Product integration: assist field sales in integrating Contech products into site plans, preparing drawings and calculations.
• Structural analysis and design of bridge elements including superstructures, foundations, and retaining walls.
• Coordinate with field sales and manufacturing to address design, manufacturing, and installation questions.
• Maintain knowledge of governing specifications and contribute to specifications documentation.
• Assist in writing technical papers and product literature to support training and promotion.
• Stay updated with civil/structural engineering knowledge through development and courses.
