Job summary

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks common in a store setting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in merchandise ordering, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain store areas and ensure they meet company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure compliance by associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, floors, and general areas
• Other duties as assigned
