Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Walnut, CA is seeking a Part Time Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising execution and operational standards on the sales floor. You will support truck unloading, planogram compliance, pricing, and stock accuracy to ensure a customer-ready store environment.

The role requires leadership experience, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and early mornings, and a strong focus on in-stock processes and customer service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership experience.
• Experience with SOPs and company programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and enforcing SOPs and company programs.
• Provide MOD coverage, maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Lead truck execution, unloading, and merchandise flow to sales floor.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Oversee Store-In-Stock Optimization (SISO) for in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Maintain clean, organized store and backroom alignment.
• Manage inventory accuracy, product integrity, and stock movement.
• Execute price changes and ensure pricing integrity across floor and systems.
• Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, order picking/packing/shipping.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation and adjustments.
• Handle store damages procedures and shrink reduction.
