Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations. You will unload deliveries, stock shelves, assist customers, and help maintain a clean, organized store. You may also serve as lead in the absence of a manager and support cash handling duties at the register.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy in transactions, and adherence to company policies and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash handling.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate on shelves.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed by the Store Manager.
• Assist with plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Help customers locate merchandise.
• Maintain register countertops and stock area.
• Operate cash register and scanner to total purchases.
