Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to support daily store operations and provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will unload trucks, stock, process transactions at the register, assist customers, and help maintain clean, organized aisles and displays.

In this role you will work closely with the store team to ensure accuracy of cash handling, pricing, and plan-o-gram adherence, while delivering friendly service to every shopper in a convenient Royston, GA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle cash.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
• Rotate and face merchandise; build and maintain displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise and manage orders.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, total purchases and provide change.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety; support in shop floor and back room.
