Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Weslaco, TX, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, opened/closing tasks, and ensure adherence to company policies while maintaining clean, well-organized sales floors and stockrooms.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and leadership at a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent physical tasks.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and train/store associates accordingly.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
