Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with lead responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist in plan-o-gram setup and inventory maintenance while delivering exceptional customer service to maximize profitability and teamwork.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, price layout, and operating the register. You will help maintain a clean, safe store environment and support store operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling.
• Knowledge of plan-o-grams and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, face merchandise, and build displays; restock returned items.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance; stockroom duties.
• Open/close store under direction of Area Manager; lead in absence of Store Manager.
• Operate cash register; collect payments and make change; provide superior customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; assist customers and keep store organized.
