Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a cashier/stocker lead to operate in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, ensuring cashier accountability, plan-o-gram maintenance, and exemplary customer service. The role includes stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store safety and appearance.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, processing shipments, assisting customers, and handling register operations.

Qualifications

Mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
High school diploma or equivalent; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes using company processes.
Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves; build merchandise displays.
Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
Assist customers by locating merchandise.
Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
Greet customers; maintain front-end area and plan-o-grams.
Open and/or close the store under direction of Area Manager; authorize refunds and overrides.
