Qualifications
- Professional customer service is essential and must be friendly and approachable.
- Demonstrate high integrity when handling money and products.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately at the Point of Sale.
- Willingness to work weekends, some holidays and some evenings.
- Basic knowledge of literature, history, art, and culture is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, provide courteous assistance and support sales.
- Operate Point of Sale system accurately to process transactions.
- Answer questions, suggest items, and cross-sell when appropriate.
- Check inventory, retrieve items and package for customers.
- Restock during non-peak hours and maintain visual displays.
- Assist in loss prevention and report any discrepancies.
- Inform Supervisor of special requests and stay informed about exhibits.
