Job summary

The Salvation Army Ft Walton Beach Thrift Store is seeking a part-time associate to ring up sales, assist donors, and help customers in a friendly environment. Monday through Saturday, 9am–5:30pm; 29 hours per week with benefits. Light clerical duties and cash handling are involved.

Responsibilities include processing sales, balancing the cash drawer, and delivering a positive customer experience. Prior retail experience is preferred; High School diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; retail experience preferred.
• Experience in a retail store is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rings up sales and handles cash, prepares receipts and change.
• Balances cash drawer and prints routine register reports.
• Answers customer questions and explains store policy clearly.
• Assists donors and directs loading/unloading of donations; provides tax receipts.
• Arranges/store displays and keeps shelves neat and stocked.
• Answers store phone and provides directions or information.
• Cleans displays, floors, windows; keeps store inviting.
• Opens/closes the store per schedule.
