Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ocala, FL is seeking a Part-Time with Benefits Sales Associate. You will ring up sales, handle cash, prepare receipts, balance the cash drawer, and assist with donations and tax receipts. Store hours are Monday–Saturday 8:30–4:30, with a 29-hour weekly schedule.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED; retail experience preferred or equivalent. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

• Retail store experience preferred or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ring up sales, handle cash, prepare receipts and balance the cash drawer.
• Process donations, prepare tax receipts, and maintain sales records.
• Assist customers donating items and respond to questions or directions.
• Answer store telephone calls and provide information or schedule pickups.
• Receive, inspect and sort donated items by category and condition.
